Pastor Search Process:
Pastor Search will act as a consultant to the search committee. Pastor Search will do as much groundwork of a search for a pastor as the church's search committee desires. For example,we can be involved in the planning process, provide resources and training to the committee.
Also, under the direction of the Search Committe, Pastor Search can locate, contact, and screen as many candidates as needed for a search committee and/or we can contact and screen only candidates suggested by the local church. We work at the direction of the search committee.
Much of this can be done in parallel with the Search Committe's work. Pastor Search's support can drastically reduce the travel and the time it takes for a church to find a pastor.
For example it is not uncommon for a church to take a year just to get organized and start the process. If you will bring us in as a consultant immediately, we can have screened candidates ready for the search committee to consider as soon as the search committee is organized. This will shorten the search process by months.
The 1st phase will be to search out and qualify possible candidates. Once we do this we will solicit and present to the search committee a resume, audio and/or video sermon of candidate.
The 2nd phase will be to do a background check on the candidate or candidates that the search committee decides are finalist for the position.
